There are lots of electrically-operated exhaust cutouts on the market. There are precious few that have all of the features Granatelli Motor Sports’ Dual Electronic Exhaust Cutout Systems do. Let’s explore them, shall we?
One-Touch Open and Close Switch
Some exhaust cutout systems have an activation switch that must be held down to open and close the butterfly plates. That can lead to overtorquing the butterfly shaft, which can damage the internal gears of the drive system. The Granatelli exhaust cutout systems have a digitally-controlled, one-touch switch to open and close the butterfly plates and prevent overtorquing.
Top-Quality Butterfly Plates
Stainless steel butterfly blades and blade shafts are housed in CNC-machined 6061 aluminum bodies. High-torque DC gear-reduction motors and steel drive gears assure the butterfly plates fully open and close.
45 Degree Turndowns
Granatelli Motor Sports includes 45 degree stainless steel turndowns in its kits. Using 45 degree turndowns lets you direct exhaust flow down towards the ground instead of straight out the side. This helps keep exhaust fumes out of the car.
Granatelli Motor Sports Dual Electronic Exhaust Cutout Systems have lots of other features:
• No ECU reflash or custom tuning needed when cutouts are installed after the catalytic converter
• Plug-and-play wiring connections—no welding or soldering required
• Your choice of clamp-on, weld-on, or bolt-on systems
Granatelli Motor Sports Dual Electronic Exhaust Cutout Systems come with a rocker switch, wiring harness, and installation hardware. They are available for 2.25-, 2.5-, 3-, 3.5-, and 4 inch diameter exhaust systems. Most come with stainless steel tubing, but there are clamp-on systems with aluminized steel tubing that will save you some money.
